ATTICA. Athens. Circa 510-500/490 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 17.19 g, 3 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with small spiral on the bowl and circular earring. Rev. AΘE Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig; all within incuse square. Asyut 265. HGC 4, 1589. Seltman Group L. Svoronos pl. 6, 21-3. Struck on a broad flan and with a delightful, small head of Athena. Old scratch on the obverse and minor flan faults on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
